Becoming

My life use to be gray

An angel I did become

Fallen is what he made me

I fell from grace

They couldn't find me

For I was gone and left no trace

I travelled the plains of Ivyenia

Lonely and weary I became

I longed for my lover

He never came to me

I opened my eyes but I could not see

I heard it thunder

I closed my eyes one last time

Somehow I could see my dark world waste away to nothing

 When I opened my eyes 

I saw sunlight and smiled

What I knew of sadness was completely gone

A man on a white stallion rode up to me

He dismounted then took my hand

"Lady Gabriel, come away with me."

I only nodded 

He mounted his horse and pulled me up behind him

We rode away to a place of heavenly bliss

He sealed our love and fate with just one kiss

I began to cry tears of joy

Because I finally knew why

God has given me the greatest power

He gave me the power to love.
